exit stage left from ‘the blame game’

some souls –

many, but not all –

flawed, damaged,

overlapping with us –

making us ask ‘why’,

prompting harsh introspection

when perhaps, deep down

it is they who lack in themselves –

maybe they cannot

hold their tongues

or they are confused?

we sense so much…

but we are not ‘oversensitive’

as some might say…

and so we must not allow

their weakness

to erode our strength.

they are not our mirrors

we are theirs

and we must find a way

to stay upright,

to shield ourselves from the

‘slings and arrows of outrageous fortune’

one day they will look in the mirror

then all will be revealed…

‘and ye shall know the truth

and the truth shall set ye free’
